We're back in 2024 for our annual International Women's Day Lunch at Home Grown Private Members Club!

We are delighted to be welcoming two exciting speakers: Kim Morrish and Kayleigh O'Donovan.

Kim Morrish and her partner acquired Ground Control in 2004, leading the transformation of a small grounds-maintenance firm to a £200 million purpose-driven business focussed on people and planet. In 2016, she founded Canterbury Partners to provide investment capital to ventures working to address social and environmental challenges. In 2019, she launched Ground Control's Evergreen Fund, a green venture fund investing 5% of annual company profits into green technology and land acquisition for nature conservation.

She serves on the Boards of Ground Control, the Evergreen Fund, the Darden Foundation, and several social impact companies. She is a regular contributor to The Times Entrepreneurial Network, and has served as a judge for EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year, Women of the Future and Asian Women of Achievement.

Previously, she was a tenured U.S. Diplomat managing international development projects. She holds a BA from the University of Virginia, an MBA from the Darden School of Business, and a certificate in Sustainability Leadership from Cambridge University.

Kayleigh O'Donovan, Owner of House of Vanity Blowdry & Beauty Bar based in Manchester City Centre. She moved from London to Manchester in 2019, to open House of Vanity's flagship store just off popular Deansgate. 
Having recently acquired cosmetics brand MOB Brushes, Kayleigh has moved into the world of E-Commerce.

Kayleigh's family, coming from from a background in construction has been heavily involved in BITA throughout its journey and therefore having seen BITAs core values in action on numerous occasions, jumped at the opportunity to bring BITAx to the North.
