Causeway: Ireland Scotland Business Exchange  is a partner organisation of BITA. Similar to BITA, Causeway is a business networking membership organisation, supported by both the Irish and Scottish governments, with a key aim to connect professionals and businesses from across Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland. Their aim is to facilitate business growth and collaboration on both sides of the Irish Sea through networking and events. Working in partnership, Causeway and BITA offer a dual membership of both membership networking organisations for £550 + VAT.

Causeway is  a not-for-profit membership organisation that builds professional connections and provides a valuable and proven platform for members to meet, cooperate and collaborate. The purpose of Causeway is to foster closer economic ties across Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland, providing a robust business platform across all three regions, to share opportunities and knowledge, as well as provide a sense of "home" and community for the large number of Irish and Northern Irish diaspora living and working in Scotland, and likewise, Scottish diaspora living and working in Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Established in 2016, Causeway (formerly the Irish Business Network Scotland) was born out of an ambition to support businesses from Scotland and Ireland that wished to explore their respective neighbouring markets. It was launched by a group of professionals from Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland, who believe that enhancing communication and building relationships between individuals and organisations from both countries will add significant value to their business.

Scotland,  Ireland and Northern Ireland have a unique, long-standing relationship. At Causeway, they feel that it is only right to nurture this relationship for the benefit of businesses in each market. The decision by UK voters to leave the European Union further emphasised the need for a business exchange to help retain and further drive the strong cultural and economic connections between Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland.

We have been working with Causeway since 2017 and we offer dual membership for both organisations for members that wish to access markets across the whole of the UK and Ireland.
