I am really excited to share that we are bringing the much-loved BITA community to the UAE! I originally come from Essex, but now I’m enjoying life in Dubai.
Back in 2019, I joined BITA & quickly made some amazing connections, especially with Paul Whitnell, the President of BITA. Being part of a supportive network has made such a difference for me, and I believe it’s especially important in a place like the UAE. That’s why we decided to bring BITA to Dubai—so we can connect with fantastic people who share similar values, build friendships, and do some great business together.
As the CEO of a group of companies that span the globe, I totally understand how crucial relationships are. I genuinely love connecting with people & helping them find ways to collaborate and grow. With BITA now in Dubai, I can’t wait to see how we can all support one another, share ideas & create opportunities.

🔊 A message from our Vicechair Kerri O’Toole BSc (Hons)
Firstly, lovely to meet you all! My name is Kerri, I'm 27, originally from North West London. Joining the corporate world at the baby age of 18, I began my career for a leading waste management business in London, Powerday who continually support BITAIntl to this day. We always knew when the boys were off to a BITA event...they looked much smarter than their usual 'waste game' get up, sorry boys!
Moving to Dubai as a QS in 2023, I knew nobody. I came across a LinkedIn post from Paul, aiming to launch a chapter in Dubai, so what did I do? Slid straight into his dms! Paul put me in touch with Sam, owner of Dunmow Group, another UK waste management business, naturally he knew my old Powerday crew very well, so instantly, we clicked.
Day to day, you'll find me running around building sites & all the breathes of air in between organising BITA Dubai events with the board & managing the communications for the chapter.
Being a part of BITA has been a great opportunity for me, instantly expanding my network & building an invaluable relationship with Sam who has 'been there & done it' & now appointed (he didn't get a say), as my free life coach & mentor for Dubai life & all things business, I often refer to him as my 'Dubai dad', he insists he is not old enough for that role, I'll let you be the judge..
Adding value is what motivates me in life. I've always been lucky enough to have a large personality, so I enjoy being able to support those who experience 'network anxiety'. Being a part of BITA is unique because no matter where business takes you, another chapter of BITA with the same values, will welcome you with open arms to build your required network.
