We are very excited to announce and welcome the newly appointed Interim Chapter Chair of BITA Cork, Tom Cotter! We would like to thank Stephen Wilson Downey for their commitment to BITA Cork as Chair, and we are extremely delighted that they'll be continuing on the Board to help develop the Chapter.
Tom has been a long term member of BITA Cork, who became a Board Member of the Chapter, and is now stepping into the interim role of Chair. They're the Founder of OceanR, based in Cork, and he is on a mission to reclaim the oceans by removing as much plastic as he can to recycle it into eye-catching, boldly designed clothing, using eco friendly materials and plastic free packaging. He spent several years researching sustainable production methods that would contribute to the reduction of plastic pollution in the seas, and he is a firm believer in partnering with companies that want to go on a sustainable journey with him, to make the biggest impact possible.
We would like to say a huge congratulations to Tom on stepping into this new role and we are very much looking forward to the contribution they will make to the Cork Chapter as Interim Chair, as well as the impact they will have on BITA as a whole!
