Eleciserve and the New Places Leisure Camberley Centre Project

We are thrilled to welcome our new platinum sponsors, Eleciserve, a leading electrical contractor in London and the South of England.

Eleciserve was founded in 1996 and has experienced almost continuous growth since. Offering a modern service for installation, testing, fire alarms and energy saving solutions, they also have a dedicated pre-planned maintenance team and 24-hour reactive maintenance team.

They have delivered on many large projects since 1996, and one that they are most excited about currently is the new Places Leisure Camberley Centre, scheduled for opening in the summer 2021.
Places Leisure were awarded the contract for the new centre, along with their construction partners Pellikaan and architects Roberts Limbrick in 2019. They chose to rely on Eleciserve for their electrical requirements for this large and varied project.

The £22 million centre will feature a fitness suite, 25 metre 6-lane pool, learner pool with adjustable floor, 8 court sports hall, group exercise studios, health suite, climbing arena and a Costa Coffee Café.

This is a large project, and Eleciserve have had the full design and build responsibility working alongside the main contractor to provide a fully coordinated 3D BIM model utilising Revit. Bobby Prendeville, Managing Director at Eleciserve, and newest BITA platinum member says; “Our engineers on site are then able to view the model on iPads on site to ensure installation is in line with the concept design.”

Local Councillor Alan McClafferty said; “This is a very impressive building and once complete will provide our community with a wonderful new leisure facility to enjoy with their family and friends.  I am really pleased with the quality of the build and the amount of facilities it will provide and very much looking forward to when it opens next year.”

Development is already well underway; swimming pool containers have now been fitted, and the eight-court sports hall, changing rooms, health suite, cafe and gym space are also in place.
“We are really excited to be involved in such an interesting project that will give so much to the local community.” Says Bobby Prendeville, “It’s great to be working with the council on such a high-quality build that will help provide such great fitness and fun opportunities for people.”

In addition to their experience with large projects, they can provide complete mechanical and electrical packages, and can tailor project management and execution to the individual client. As such we feel they have a lot to offer BITA members and we are looking forward to working with them.
