BITA Winners at the NAA!

The National Association Awards (NAAs) are open to any membership organisation in the UK and they celebrate the hard work of associations, federations, chambers, societies and membership organisations across all sectors.

There are 12 categories, and BITA was entered into the awards for Outstanding Director, for Paul Whitnell, Best Event, for our Construction Networking Lunches, and Best Publication for our magazine NetWorks.

Represented by our President Paul Whitnell and his wife Philomena on the day, the awards were held at the Copthorne Tara Hotel in Kensington on the 27th July as a fabulous black tie event.

Following a lovely meal, the awards kicked off and we were announced as the silver winners for Best Event, which Paul was delighted to accept.

We thought that the excitement was over when we were again called up to collect an award, this time the prestigious ‘Outstanding Director’ award for Paul Whitnell!

We believe that this was very well deserved, as last year, led by Paul Whitnell, we very quickly pivoted and offered online events around financial and legal ramifications of the lock down as early as late-March. We deemed it essential to provide this ‘tool-kit’ for our members, and throughout the last year we have continued to increase what we offer. We have invested in software that provides the most realistic online networking possible, built a new website, and embedded new processes to ensure that our members get immediate value from membership.

We also took time to encourage wellbeing and built new relationships with companies including ‘Wake up with Zest’ and ‘The Yoga Factory’, whose online courses and content have allowed our staff, and the staff of our members, to better handle the ramifications of a prolonged lockdown.

We are thrilled to have our hard work, and the dedication of our team recognised, especially after what has been such a difficult 18 months, and we are more excited than ever to kick off our new programme of events and initiatives that will help our members recover and grow.

Many thanks to the NAA for hosting an incredible ceremony!
