John has worked in financial services for over 40 years spanning a wide spectrum of sectors including, Fiduciary, Private Client, Life and Captive Insurance, Banks and Funds. During that period, he has worked in London, Cambridge, Bristol and Guernsey but settled in the Isle of Man 17 years ago.
Having previously spent a number of years working for the IOM Government, Department for Enterprise promoting the Isle of Man as the place to do business, he is currently engaged with a number of financial services businesses at Board level
John is Chair of the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce, Finance and Professional Services Committee and sit on the Finance Agency Board, Isle of Man Department for Enterprise as a non-executive member.
Sits on the BITA board in the Isle of Man and he has been engaged with South Africa businesses for the past 8 years and is a regular visitor for both business and pleasure.
He is also a trustee and treasurer of the Manx Wildlife Trust.
