I am a single mother of 4 beautiful children. My partner passed away in 2018. I obtained my B-Tech Degree in Construction Management at Cape Peninsula University of Technology. I have worked as a Quantity Surveyor & Project Manager. I’ve realised that I needed to do more and there’s a lot that I can offer to the community. That’s why I invested more time doing community workshops
Through my work with Mellon, working with different communities especially the disadvantaged communities, my focus changed to be more hands on with community engagements & education. This fulfils my dream of changing lives and making a difference.
I am so proud to be part Mellon Educate, assisting young unemployed people from different communities, train and contract them as Literacy Tutors and Assisting learners (ages 6-10) to be able to read for meaning. This fulfils my heart because I know the generation of learners from our township schools will do better in life.
I manage to engage with people from all levels, giving everyone respect and attention they deserve.
I believe in partnerships because through partnerships we can all make a huge difference.
