Wayne Brigden, Business Director at Amey, started his career in regional track renewals and has now had 30 years of experience in the rail sector. Wayne has delivered major projects and programmes across the UK, for a variety of clients and stakeholders.
In 2007, Wayne moved into major multi-disciplinary projects, namely West Coast Route Modernisation, CrossRail for Network Rail, and Core Valley Lines Transformation for Transport for Wales. Wayne has successfully led these particular projects through the full lifecycle, from initial design conception to final entry into service. During this period, Wayne also had the pleasure of leading other business units in the Highways and Power Distribution sectors.
Wayne has a unique leadership style, striving for successful, safe delivery whilst maintaining focus on value for money and project outcomes. Wayne has a real passion for building resilient teams within organisations that can deliver even the most complex of projects and has a passion to ensure that the industry gives back to the communities in which we operate. Wayne also leads the Environmental Sustainability Leadership Group for the Amey Rail business to ensure that we deliver our ESG strategy.
