Dogs for the Disabled is an Irish charity that plays a crucial role in enhancing the lives of children and adults living with physical disabilities, by providing them with highly trained Assistance Dogs. These remarkable dogs are trained to perform a variety of tasks that can significantly increase independence and improve quality of life.
Approximately 85% of our clients are children and our goal is to make real difference to their mobility and independence, and in turn make a lasting impact to their lives.
We receive no Government funding and rely entirely on the generosity of the public to provide this service.
Dogs for the Disabled provide all their Assistance and Therapy Dogs free of charge to the recipient, ensuring that those most in need can benefit from the love and empowerment of these incredible dogs.
