Hillcrest Transport was founded in 2020 by Christopher McLaughlin, who started the business as an owner-driver focusing on plant machinery movements. From these humble beginnings, the company has rapidly expanded, now boasting a diverse fleet of vehicles. This growth has allowed Hillcrest Transport to offer a wide range of services, including aggregate movement, plant and machinery transport, and heavy haulage, with the capability to move loads up to 150 tonnes.

In 2021, Christopher’s wife Catherine joined the company, bringing a strong sense of family and helping to develop the core values that have guided the business. Together, they’ve fostered a work environment that feels like family, where both employees and customers enjoy a sense of belonging—a warmth and personal touch unique to family-run businesses.
