Seán qualified as a Civil Engineer from UCC IN 1979. He is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of Engineers Ireland.  

After qualifying he joined PJ Hegarty & Sons as a Site Engineer and has worked with the Company for the last 41 years progressing through the ranks to his current position as Director with overall responsibility for the UK and South of Ireland. He has extensive experience in large Civil Engineering and Building Projects of all types and has being involved in some Major Joint Ventures with International Companies .Seán is current Chairman of the Cork Branch of the Construction Industry Federation.
